The Baseball Tonight Podcast for 04.09.14

Last nights Baseball Tonight Podcast with Buster Olney was a celebration on the incredible achievement of Hank Aaron passing Babe Ruth to become the All Time HR king (until You know Who passed him.) I highly recommend downloading the show (link will be in the bottom of the post) not just for the great discussion Olney has with Jerry Crasnick about the importance both social and sport wise of the event, not only for the interview with Mr Aaron himself but for the playing of the call by Vin Scully when the event occurred (the Braves were playing the Dodgers at the time.) It’s presented in it’s entirety from when Hammerin’ Hank stepped into the box and when the crowd noise settles.

Yankee fans will enjoy the discussion about Derek Jeter’s final Opening Day and his ‘cadillacing’ to 2B on the double he thought was a HR.
